Anubhuti is a particular luxurious AC coach found in selected Indian Railways Shatabdi express trains. It’s an LHB coach manufactured at Modern Coach Factory, Rae Bareilly. Each coach has a seating capacity of 50 people and the cost to make a single coach is RS. 2.8cr. These coaches are equipped with aircraft like services. In some Shatabdi trains, anubhuti coaches are intended to replace AC first-class Executive Chair Car coaches. 10 anubhuti coaches were placed in the first phase.
Passengers will have access to LED reading lamps, comfortable leg rests, and an individual entertainment screen on each seat. It was manufactured by Integral Coach Factory in Chennai. The railway provides headphones that can be used to play music and watch movies. Anubhuti coach has automatic doors, which eliminates the need to push and pull heavy slider doors. It also has an attendant call button above the seat.
On both sides of the coach, there is a passenger information display that will display crucial information such as the next station and speed, among other things.
In 2018 famous novelist Chetan Bhagat traveled in Mumbai-bound Shatabdi Train from Ahmedabad in ultra-luxury Anubhuti coaches and he was awestruck by this class. He described that the train has super clean cabins, great food, and service. Mr. Bhagat described his journey to Mumbai on his official Twitter account, saying that he caught the Shatabdi (train number 12010). The cabins were extremely clean, having been cleaned four times during the trip. He also appreciated the seats in the Shatabdi train’s Anubhuti coaches. Mr. Bhagat, who described his trip as a joy, recommended passengers use the railway instead of flying.
