There was a time when after getting a confirmed ticket if they don’t want to travel they had to cancel the ticket but now it is not so. Now you can transfer your confirmed ticket to another person. Railways provide a service that allows you to transfer your ticket to another person.
It often happens that after getting confirmed railway tickets, passengers are unable to travel due to some reason. In such a situation, either they had to cancel the ticket or they had to get a new ticket. But getting a confirmed ticket is also not an easy task that is why the railway has come up with this facility. Railways had started this facility a long time ago, but still, not many people know about it. In this blog, we are going to tell you how you can use this facility.
You can transfer your confirmed ticket to any of your family members like mother, father, brother, sister, husband, and wife. But for transferring the ticket you will have to give a request 24 hours before the departure of the train. After then, the passenger’s name is removed from the ticket and replaced with the name of the member to whom the ticket has been transferred.
Now there is one thing that you should know that you can transfer your confirmed ticket only once. If a customer has once transferred his ticket to another individual, he or she will not be able to do so again.
